Aurélien Guichard, founder and perfumer of Matière Première, evokes the precious Saffron harvest that takes place in November in northern Greece, at the foot of Mount Olympus, when Crocus flowers turn violet and their red stigmas are hand-picked at the end of each day.
The candle captures the intense and luminous character of this raw material, diffusing a spicy, vibrant and crystalline scent. Saffron emerges with a refined and contemporary signature, capable of creating a warm yet at the same time bright atmosphere.
Formulated with 95% wax of natural origin, the candle is available in a 220 g format and offers an average burn time of approximately 50 hours. The wick is made from 100% certified BC-Cotton. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches, with the fragrance concentrate added only during the final stage of production to preserve its olfactory qualities as effectively as possible.
The glass is made from Bohemian crystal from the Czech Republic. Each piece is individually flame-polished to achieve maximum transparency and brilliance, then hand-lacquered on the inner surface.
