This composition stems from a journey to the paternal vacation home, where, accompanied by the whole family, Tiziana and I spent happy days running through the woods, listening to Grandpa’s stories about plants and flowers, playing at recognizing them by their scent. None of us at that time could have imagined that one day this game would become our passion and our “profession.”
At the foot of Mount Catria lies a small village with 1000 souls called Frontone. The peace of the place is only interrupted by the thousand fragrances of flowers and plants surrounding the entire valley. Not far away is the Avellana Spring, a place of meditation and silence that gives the journey the spiritual flavor of seeking. Our little house was protected by the Castle of Frontone, a border fortification guarding the land that the Romans crossed to reach the Adriatic, and the last fortress of the Montefeltro Duchy in the 15th and 16th centuries. A place rich in history and wonders, in the midst of which we played happily. Climbing to the highest tower of the castle, set in a magnificent landscape, one could see the massive Monte Nerone all the way to the state of San Marino, while on the opposite side the view plunged into the blue of the Adriatic. After dinner, under the glow of a large, yellow moon, we played on the tower, illuminated by blazing braziers under a sparkling starry sky.
