Don't know where to start? Explore Best-Selling Perfumes!

The story of this fragrance begins around Lake Como. A body of water that has always fascinated us because it is so deep that it far surpasses the sea where we live, yet it is surrounded by a spectacular mountainous backdrop. The lake is located in a basin surrounded by forested mountains, offering a landscape with the most varied and fragrant aspects. Along its shores alternate meadows, forests, rugged and imposing rocks, picturesque villages overlooking the water, and beautiful villas with parks and gardens. The center of the lake, where the three branches meet, is the point with the mildest climate and the broadest panorama. We loved to reach this water crossroad by boat to enjoy the best view of the entire Bellagio promontory, the northern Grigna that dominates the Valsassina valley, and, on clear days, the upper basin with the Alpine range in the background.

The most familiar and beloved place has always been the Lecco branch, which offers a more rugged and evocative panorama, with the southern Grigna, of dolomitic origin, and the Corni di Canzo which, descending towards the lake, form picturesque coves and inlets. Our favorite refuge was the Fiumelatte spring, described by Leonardo da Vinci. This stream, which had intrigued Leonardo da Vinci, had enchanted us as children because of its unique peculiarity in the world: the stream flows with a regular intermittent flow from March 25th to October 7th. The water emerges from a mysterious cave full of fragrances that would be impossible to verbalize, beyond being reductive. A place where the perfumer's alchemy came to life before anywhere else. The rock of the cave itself smelled. After the arch through which the stream flows only at specific intervals, here is its bed which appears like a true lunar landscape, shrouded in the cosmic darkness of a place where natural light never filters through.
