We first encountered Andromeda, wrapped in her infinite beauty, enhanced by a trail of bright and fascinating stars, during a trek in the Sibillini Mountains—a little-known but no less enchanting area of our beautiful country. We were searching for a natural and spontaneous event that can be considered a true miracle of Mother Nature. In these silent mountains, every year, a ritual takes place that seems almost supernatural: the flowering season. Between late May and the first days of July, the Castelluccio plateau bears witness to this extraordinary phenomenon. For several weeks, the chromatic monotony of the pastures is broken by a mosaic of colors, with shades ranging from ochre yellow to red. Although the "Fiorita" festival falls on the third and last Sunday of June, there is no specific day to admire this enchanting spectacle.
