Reading time: 3 minutes
Nicocello by Fugazzi was not born from a marketing idea, but from something much simpler and more real: a family tradition.
The name comes from "Nico," the founder's father, and his homemade limoncello, which for years was much more than just a drink. It was a ritual, a habit, a specific moment of the day. The scent of lemons, the freshly worked zest, that citrusy air that lingered in the environment and, without realizing it, became a memory.
This is where it all begins.
The quest was clear: to create an authentic citrus fragrance, far from those synthetic fresh scents found everywhere. Not an "interpreted" citrus, but something that truly evoked the raw material: the peel, the pulp, the light, the simplicity of everyday Italian life.
From memory to fragrance
Nicocello opens with a luminous explosion of Italian lemon, blood orange, cedarwood, and bergamot: a vibrant, juicy, immediate accord.
But it doesn't stay there.
A light spiciness and a soft, modern base accompany the fragrance, giving it balance and making it easy to wear throughout the day, without ever being banal or predictable.
It is a fragrance that speaks of:
- summer lived
- tradition, without being nostalgic
- simplicity done well
"Rooted in Heritage. Made in Italy." is not a slogan, but the foundation of the project.
A detail that completes the experience: the packaging includes two Fugazzi-branded glass shot glasses, a direct reference to the limoncello from which it all began.

Why it's worth choosing
Nicocello is designed for those who are not just looking for a fresh scent, but something that has meaning, a story, a coherence.
It's the right choice if you want to move away from typical, generic citrus scents and embrace something more natural, more authentic, closer to the raw material. It doesn't give the impression of a constructed freshness, but of something lived, real, that evolves on the skin without becoming tiresome.
It works because it's balanced: light enough for everyday wear, but with a structure that makes it recognizable. It doesn't overwhelm, it doesn't saturate, but it lingers. And that's precisely the point.
If you're looking for a fragrance that makes a statement from afar, this probably isn't the right choice.
However, if you want something that works up close, that complements without overpowering, and that over time becomes a personal signature, then it makes perfect sense.
